It’s been a slower week this week here at the fishery, with not so many anglers venturing out in the wet and windy conditions. Two visiting anglers who did make it out was Bob and John from Somerset, they fished peg 8 (soil shed) to land 5 fish between them the best being a 24.9 common. Another angler was Rhys Davies from Port Talbot who fished a quick 24hr session in megs corner to land 3 fish to 22.7lb. On the pleasure side of fishing Lee Thomas of Bridgend spent the day on the old canal fishing for perch, Lee landed 5 perch to 4.2lb fishing with maggot and chopped worm proving to be the best bait for him. The pit has been fishing ok this week with reports of anglers that they have been catching low double figure carp on luncheon meat. On the match lake Mark Evans reported of having a nice day catching some lovely 2lb+ skimmer bream on maggot. Don’t forget to make the most of our Special offer of half price fishing until the end of December. And free fishing for members.
