White Springs
Its been another crazy week of weather with some strong winds hail and frost. But Lee of Bridgend fished a 24 hour on the specimen lake to land 4 fish, the best being a 28.9 mirror followed by two upper doubles and a 24.8 mirror. Lee landed all of his fish on Lamos pop corn boilies. Another angler who managed two nights in the hard frost was Paul Thomas of Landilo who managed to land 2 fish from megs corner. The match was fished on Sunday after the boys cleared a very thin sheet of ice off the match lake, the match was won by Steve Davies with 39.4lb in 2nd place was Alan Godrich with 35lb and in 3rd place was John with 29.12. The fishery had some reports of 3-4lb perch being caught in both the canals last week, with the cold weather that moved in that will bring the perch on the feed. On the Pleasure lake Scott Robinson of Neath landed 9 carp all around the 7lb mark, Scott fished with sweet corn and maggots. Our Christmas match will take place on Wednesday the 28th of December on both the match lake and old canal. There will also be an open match for anyone to fish on new years day. For more details please contact the fishery.
