32lb from the Pit -Army Mark 13th April

Army Mark has graced our banks for a couple of days and he surely is mobile at the moment trying out various swims and with true angling form he does it again with this lovely 32lb mirror taken from the Pit Lake using tigernut with popup plastic corn, also shown below is a nice 23lb.8 Mirror taken from Megs corner on the Specimen Lake also using popup corn. He has also fished a 14lb mirror from the Island swim using White Springs banana boiles and a 12lb.7 Koi also using White Springs banana boiles showing us that by moving around you can not only maximise your catching chances but once again that the fish are definately on the feed. Well done Mark I think I am going to have to pop down for a few hours one day and watch you fish Tight Lines Everyone.

they had some of the 30's from the specimen lake moved over to feed them up ready for spawning, statisitcs show that feeding them during this time of year, helps them gain weight and allows them to spawn better, thats why the pit was shut off for a couple of months whilst they were feeding them. They couldnt feed the specimen as it would wreck the fishing there, so they done it on the pit instead.
People all talk and lots of rumours float around, but not to fish there because of it is it up to you but seems daft to me to deny yourself a holiday because of it.
Ask Vince simple as. This website is run by a friend of his who has a fulltime job and children so he cannot be on here 24/7

I thought there hadnt been anything stocked in? I dont understand why all the secretism down there? I mean whitesprings was adamant nothing had been stocked? I don't get it. Tbh i was going to come down and fish during june when i have a holiday, but now im thinking otherwise!

i didnt know that the pit had fish in there that big, is it newly stocked in there or has it been moved in from the speci???
