It’s been a wet week at the fishery this week but the fishing has been pretty good.
Wednesdays open was on the Pleasure Lake.
1st was Alan Godrich 41lb 8oz.
2nd John Charlesworth 34lb 12oz.
3rd Lou Spinks 33lb 4oz.
Sundays open was on the New Canal.
1st on peg 15 was Alan Godrich winning again using 10mm boilies.
2nd on peg 36 was Steve ‘beefy’ Beresford with 82lb 10oz.
3rd peg 10 was Dick Brunton with 69lb and close behind was Lou spinks on peg 5 with 68lb.
On the Big Pit Mike Jones did a 24 hour session and caught 13 carp up to 18lb 6oz using White Springs Banana Wafters.
On the Pleasure Lake 15yr old Luke Johnson had a cracking day catching 10 different species of fish including a 3lb 6oz Perch, 2lb Crucian, 12lb Carp, Bream, Tench and Golden Orfe.
On the Specimen Lake fishing on Megs Corner was White Springs manager Gavin Wellington who did very well having 10 takes and landing 9 including 2 20’s the biggest 24lb 8oz all caught on the new White Springs Banana Pastel.
Brad Peters on peg 3 had his first fish on the Specimen Lake, a beautiful 20lb Koi Carp.
Kris Jenkins did very well again fishing the Old Cabin landing 7 fish in total, including a mint 22lb ghost mirror,
26lb 8oz common and a lovely mirror known as ‘The Grey Lady’ weighing 31lb 5oz.
Chris Curran from Liverpool was on peg 11a and after 25minutes of his rods being in the water. He landed a new PB, a lovely mirror called ‘Captain Hook’ weighing 31lb 8oz.
Stuart Richards also had his PB, a lovely 21lb mirror fishing on Megs Corner.
Mark Powell was on cabin 11. He had 3 takes, a 21lber, he lost one at the net which was a lump, but 20 minutes later he was made up for his loss with a stunning common known as ‘Cheryl’ weighing 37lb 14oz and a new PB.
