Hi all,
Just wanted to add my five penneth as a disabled fisherperson, I use a wheelchair and have found White Springs an accessible place to fish at all times of the year.
It just goes to show that with a bit of common sense you don't have to spend a fortune to make several areas of a fishery accessible, and this is exactly what Vince and his team have done! Okay, when the rain has been heaving down, (this is Wales after all) some areas can be out of bounds, but all you have to do is spend some time driving around and check areas and swims, or use your mouth and ask one of the friendly and helpful people where is going to be the best place for you to fish from.
When we have had a lot of rain I find the specimen lake best for me as there are several areas on there that stay pretty firm under foot (or wheel) that I can fish from. Either over by the Old Cabin or under the trees about half way along the far side are good for me, maybe you could try them too? Also the swims to the left of the Old Cabin have had a lot of time and work spent on them and these too can be a great place to fish from, I've caught plenty of Bream & Tench from them along with some lovely young mirror carp to around 3lbs in weight.
Others will know of other good firm areas, so just ask!
Tight lines,
Andy (Wheelz)
