Our first match of the year 2010 was held on the pleasure lake as the other lakes were frozen on the day. 17 Anglers took part and fought it out in a very windy and cold winter conditions whilst the lake was actually freezing around them. Often due to the icy conditions they were reduced to using only 3 sections of their poles.
In first place was 14 year old Ryan Huwes who fished down the side catching Carp Raoch and bream to bring in a respectable 47lb in some of the worst winter conditions we have seen here at White Springs.
Second PLace went to Bob Giles who after breaking the ice fished 10ft in front of him and went on to catch 38 1/2 lb.
Third Place went to Ian Exall with 37lb who again had to break the ice and managed to catch his fishing down the side.
White Springs would like to thank all who took part in the match in some very cold and icy conditions.
