White Springs would like to share its good news with you, after extensive testing and mixing with different boilies the springs bannana flavour boilie is now available for sale in the tackle shop, it is coloured a light yellow brown colour and smells lovely and it is now for sale at a special price of 7.50 a kilio. Not only proving popular with the anglers is it also proving popular with the fish and during the last month of testing it has proved to be catching fish with Martin Mathews and Gavin the bailiff catching fish with them on the same day they went on sale in the shop. Whilst on the specimen lake Martin fished catching 4 carp to 20lb including a 19lb common in mint condition and also managed to pull in a couple of thirtys with one being 32.2lb. Also on the lake Paul Thomas caught 4 carp (weights unconfirmed) on the nash match 1 boilies. It seems as the weathers temperature has picked up so has the fishing and the last few slow weeks has come to an end and the fish seem to be back on the feed as on the other side of the site the pleasure lake was fishing well with carp up to 15lb being reported to us by several anglers, coming out at the various pegs.
The Match Anglers Winter Lague has now come to a finish with an extremely close last match with 5 anglers angling hard for 2nd place. The overall winner for the 2nd year in a row was Nigel Morris fighting off some good anglers who were close behind. Pipping everyone to the post in 2nd place was Chris Hall with 181lb 5oz, 3rd rob whittshire 179lb10 Ritchard Barnett 113lbs. Vince would like to thank Nigel Morris and Rob Dyer for organizing the matches.
In a seperate event on the new canal The Pirates held a match with Steve Davies winning with 81.5 catching mainly carp and bream using maggotts.
There has of course been a tremendous amount of fish over the last few weeks that have come out and not been reported, I have reports of a new 32lb'r Mirror coming out of the specimen lake and also a new very very long 26lb'r common which havent been seen before and would like to point out that not only do 70% of the fish in the lake do not get caught, but 90% of those arent reported so new fish to some anglers coming out of the lakes are not an uncommon thing. Also I cannot report things if I do not get the reports coming in so dont be shy if you catch either post up by clicking the post new story or clicking here or send it to me (with pictures hopefully) and I will report it for you.
In the meantime good fishing all and get down there whilst the going is good.
