As some of you know I am in the process of trying to catch up with the reports and sort them out as I have been for an op. this was emailed to me some weeks ago and was origonally sent on Friday, July 16, 2010 but it is only now I am getting a chance to post them up.

This is part of the email received and I have included the pictures though not in any particular order.

I have sent you some pictures in from a recent trip me (Gareth Mayer) and my brother (Robert Mayer) did on the specimen lake. On arrival vince told us that fishing had been very difficult with not much being caught. However, we had an unforgetable session, both breaking our PB's including our first ever caught grass carp at 20+ and our first 30+ fish. These fish were part of a 9 fish haul with 12 fish lost to snags and lilly pads. The fish weights were as follows;

9lb 2oz common

13lb 8oz common

14lb 6oz mirror

15lb 4oz mirror

15lb 12oz common

16lb 13oz mirror

17lb 11oz mirror

21lb grass carp Rob Mayer

31lb 1oz mirror Gareth/Gaz Mayer

The 21lb grass carp was taken by Rob and the 31lb 1oz Mirror was taken by myself (Gaz) 2 hours before the end of the session. This fish is my first ever 30+ carp beating my previous PB of 28lb, also taken from white springs on my very first trip!! After showing the pictures to Lee (Alfy) Calford, he has informed me that the fish is billy the bear.

We have only fished 5 sessions at white springs and have blanked on 2 occasions. However, all other sessions have produced fish with the first session producing a 28lb mirror and the second session producing mirrors of 21.12 and 23.10. Over the three sessions where we have caught fish, we've landed a total of 2 x single figured fish, 13 x doubles, 4 x 20's and 1 x 30+!!
