Aberglais angling were on the Match Lake and the winner was Mark Jones with 34lb.
2nd was Paddy Payne with 23lb.
3rd was Frank Davis 20lb 08oz.
On the Specimen Lake, which has been fishing very well over the past two weeks with most pegs producing.
Andrew Rees had a dream midweek 48hr session on peg 7. His first fish was a 22lb 04oz mirror, he then caught his PB a lovely mirror at 25lb 10oz, his next fish was a stunning common known as ‘Bailey’ smashing hi PB again. It weighed in at 37lb 12oz.
Andrew was absolutely buzzing and just to top his session off after a hell of a battle he landed another beautiful common weighing 32lb 08oz, Andrew named it ‘Chunk’.
Another angler to have a good session was Steven Hughes on the Old Cabin. On Saturday morning he landed a lovely 33lb mirror called ‘Captain Hook’.
Then on Sunday morning he was in again after a 20min battle. He had a cracking common weighing 33lb 02oz on the bank after years of fishing it was the first time he’d had 2x30+ fish in a session.
Well done on some good angling and PB’s lads.
Well done to all anglers and until next time, tight lines and all.
