The weather has been good this week with sunny days but chilly nights, and the fishing has been pretty good.
The Wednesday open was on the New Canal and Rob White won off peg 26 with 91lb 8oz.
2nd was Jim Hart 42lb 12oz.
3rd Chris Bradley 38lb 6oz.
Sunday’s open was also on the New Canal and everyone had a good days fishing.
Austin Roberts on peg 30 won with 62lb 12oz.
2nd was Andy Kirtley with 57lb.
3rd was Charlie Rowlins 42lb 1oz.
4th Steven Beresford with 41lb 4oz.
On the Big Pit Tyrone Smith had a good session landing 14 fish.
The biggest an 18lb 2oz which was his PB.
All fish were caught using White Springs Banana.
Rhys John fishing for carp had a nice 2lb perch on the pit.
On the Specimen Lake welsh carp team member Natalie May was on peg 2 and caught her new PB a fish called Nails weighing in at 28lb 11oz. Natalie and her welsh team mates have a match on the Specimen Lake on 28th April against England.
Martin Mathews on peg 6 caught CTC’s Cousin weighing 30lb.
On peg 7, Jason Canter caught a 33lb 4oz mirror Known as Charlie and became his PB as-well.
Angler of the week has to be Ian Lovering fishing on the old cabin hasn’t caught a 30lb plus fish for 3 years, had 2 30’s in 24hrs 1st fish on Sunday night a stunning mirror called Trio 35lb 3oz, then on Monday morning he caught an Absolute stunning mirror weighing in at 35lb 8oz.
