With the Easter holidays and nice weather it’s been a busy
week at White Springs.
Wednesdays open was on the Match Lake and Alan Godrich on peg 11 won weighing 91lb 7oz.
2nd on peg 15 was Steve O’Mara with 59lb 2 oz.
3rd Lou Spinks on peg 21 with 51lb 8oz.
Sundays open on The New Canal saw John Charlesworth on peg 13 weighing 78lb 2oz.
2nd was peg 23 Alan Godrich with 69lb 2oz.
3rd on peg 9 Jim Hart with 57lb 8oz.
4th peg 17 Andy Rodgers with 52lb 12oz.
Sir Howy were on The Match Lake on Sunday and Mikey Williams won with 98lb.
2nd was Ian Exall 96lb 11oz.
3rd was Phil Weaver 82lb 15oz
4th Rob Jones with 70lb 7oz.
Andrew Chilcott and his son(using his own rod for first time) were on the Big Pit and had over 25 fish.
Jamie Davies fishing on peg 8 had 2 fish, a 21lb mirror and a lovely 30lb 2oz common caught on White Springs banana wafters.
His mate Joseph Rosser also on peg 8 had a beautiful 14lb 8oz ghosty.
Fishing on peg 3 was Mark Boycie Boyes and caught the stunning Mr Tuts weighing his best weight of 31lb 9oz and a new PB as well.
David Knowels staying in one of our log cabins and only fishing the days had 2 fish including a lovely 31lb 9oz common called ‘Chunk’ and was also his PB.
Dylan Price Jones a member of the welsh junior carp team, after getting his first pay packet from his first job, the first place he wanted to come was White Springs.
He booked 9A and after about 2 hours he’d got a stunning mirror called ‘The Don’ on the bank weighing 38lb 2oz becoming his PB.
I have to say his fish care was exemplary especially for someone 16years of age, treating the fish with carp care, the handling of the fish, everything ready.
A pleasure to have you on our lake young man.
Congratulations to everyone on your PB’s.
Well done to all anglers and until next time, tight lines and all.
