Early May Catch Results.

With the weather being dry and sunny at times, it’s been a busy week again here at the fishery.

Wednesdays open was on the New Canal and was won by Andy Rogers on peg 9 with 67lb.

2nd was Alan Godrich on peg 5 with 56lb 8oz.

3rd Lou Spinks peg 17 with 34lb 8oz.

Sunday’s open was on the New Canal and was won by Simon ‘beefy’ Beresford on peg 9 with 66lb.

2nd on peg 30 was Andy Kirtley with 65lb 2oz.

3rd on peg 14 was Andy Rogers weighing 42lb 8oz.

On the Big Pit Andrew Chilcott was on form again with his young lad who had a couple of fish and he’s even learnt to hold them properly now, well done young lad.

The Specimen Lake has fished very well this week with 10 thirty’s being landed and numerous 20+ fish as well.

Ashley Thompson fished peg 8 for a night and had nothing. He moved to peg 9 and just before he reeled his rods in to go, he was rewarded with his PB with an immaculate common known as Bruno weighing in at 39lb 10oz caught on White Springs Cream & Toffee and all on his birthday as well.

Fishing couple Georgia Griffiths and Mike Perry started on peg 6a for a 48hrs and blanked, but with a move to peg 11 for another 48hrs Georgia after 30min had a lovely common. Mike on his last day had his PB landing the awesome mirror Rambo weighing a healthy 38lb 8oz.

Luke John on peg 9a had his PB with the lovely common Tips at his biggest weight yet at 36lb 10oz.

Tom Bryant had a good session on cabin 7 with 3 fish including a new 30 for the lake a long time resident of the lake tipping the scale at 30lb 4oz a mirror now known as The Grey Lady caught using the ever faithful White Springs Banana.

Fishing couple Johnny Walker and Tyler Rubery were on peg 8a, Johnny had a nice 22lb Koi and Tyler had 2 fish, a common at 19lb and a mirror of 15lb.

Ryan Morley on peg 7 had six fish up to 22lb. He did land a 28lber but had foul hooked him in the tail. Shame as it would have been his PB. All fish were caught on CR1 bait.

Angler of the week has to be Simon Clayton on cabin 9 with a dream session landing 4 fish a 24lb 8oz, 28lb 13oz, Whiskers at 33lb 10oz and a new PB with Bailey 37lb 8oz.

Well done to everyone catching there PB’s.

Well done to all anglers and until next time, tight lines and all.
