It’s been a wet week at the fishery but it’s been busy.
Wednesdays open was on the New Canal and Alan Godrich on peg 27 won with 79lb 4oz.
2nd was Rob White on peg 32 with 67lb.
3rd on peg 23 was Paddy Payne with 65lb 2oz.
4th on peg 5 Brian Protheroe with 51lb 6oz.
Sundays open was on the Match Lake and in 1st was Chris Wells on peg 12 weighing 78lb 9oz.
2nd peg 13 was Dan Bowen with 68lb 10.
3rd was Andrew Wray on peg 19 with 56lb 8oz.
4th was Steven Beresford peg 10 with 52lb 8oz.
Sir Howy were on the New Canal on Sunday and Shaun Wilson on peg 20 won weighing 85lb 8oz.
2nd peg 4 was Nigel Morris with 69lb 2oz.
3rd peg 23 was Phil Weaver with 61lb 6oz.
4th on peg 14 was Andrew Mumford with 53lb 12oz.
The Big Pit has been fishing very well with anglers catching up to 40 carp each with a lot being caught on the trusted White Spring’s boilies.
On the Specimen Lake it’s been very good fishing with 30s coming from all over the lake.
Nick Osbourne from Essex was fishing peg 7 and had a few fish, the best was ‘Big B’ weighing 34lb 14oz.
John Roach Jnr was on Megs Corner for a 48hr and had 10 fish, the best being a mirror ‘Del Boy’ at 30lb 2oz and ‘The Turk’ at 30lb.
Cory Phillips fished the Old Cabin and caught a lovely common ‘Mr Tuts’ at 30lb 1oz.
Tommy Loveridge was fishing 9A and had 3 fish including a 26lb 2oz common and a 32lb 14oz common called ‘Nessie’.
Angler of the week has to be Tony Stone who had 16 runs and landed 13 including 6 20lb+ fish and the stunning common called ‘Tips’ weighing 36lb 9oz, and also a new PB common, the beautiful ‘Bruno’ weighing 38lb 12oz.
