After a wet start to the week it turned sunny in the days but cold in the nights with the water temperature dropping, the fishing was quite hard. Wednesdays open was on the Big Pit,
1st Alan Godrich 54lb
2nd Lou Spinks 44lb 10oz
3rd Brian Protheroe 21lb 10oz
Sundays open was on the Match Lake
1st peg 7 Andy Rogers 93lb
2nd peg 13 Dick Brunton 87lb 5oz
3rd peg 10 Steve ‘hotdog’ John 77lb 12oz
On the Big pit Paul Boyce and Dave Roberts had 3 perch between them up to 2lb 8oz. Steve Dixon had 4 carp up to 14lb.
On the Pleasure Lake Mike Smith had a day fishing for silvers and managed to catch over 50lb including a couple of bream over 5lb.
On the Specimen Lake Jack Gamlen was on peg 6a and caught a nice 27lb mirror.
Anthony Needs fished Meg’s corner and had 3 fish all over 20lb with the best being 24lb 12oz mirror.
Graeme Andrews did a 24hr session on Meg’s corner and had the stunning common Cheryl weighing in at a whopping 40lb 12oz and a new Pb for him as well.
Work is going on; on the Soil Shed peg preparing for our new cabin we are sorry for any inconvenience.
Well done to all anglers and until next time, tight lines and all.
