It's been another bumper week here at White Springs.
We have had the Irish over for their annual matches. They practised Tuesday, Wednesday and fished Thursday for 6 hrs on the match lake bagging an amazing 226lb. Three keep nets had to be used to hold their catch. Another new fishery record has been set.
The Sunday match again held on the match lake saw Howard Green on peg 20 land 116lb 2oz. Second was Rob Jones on peg 11 with 102lb.
The pit has been fishing exceptionally well over the last week with anglers reporting some good sport with Tench to 5lb being caught.
The pleasure lake has been busy and catches of Carp have been reported from twelve to fourteen pounds, all fish said to be in pristine condition.
The specimen lake has produced yet again with Carp coming out at over thirty pound. Fred, one of the lads from Able piling landed a thirty one pound common from peg 6.
While fishery manager Gavin fished two nights on the island along with Sasha to land a thirty pound twelve ounce mirror along with five other fish.
An important note that we would like to add, is that all anglers are asked to take their litter home with them otherwise
WE WILL BAN YOU.
Only last month two anglers were caught leaving their rubbish in the bank side bushes and they were subsequently banned.
We ask you to please adhere to these rules otherwise you will be next.
Hope to see you soon and tight lines.
