@Josh, The Old Cabin Swim has a basic cabin there with, light electricity, frdge and a Microwave. You must take your own bedchair etc etc Which swim to fish is always a matter of opinion, you could fish one swim and blank and the next guy land 10 and vice versa. Some prefer the soil shed swim some prefer the old cabin, fish are coming out of both, with the old cabin swim it is usually reserved for those that book the cabin. hope that helps you decide.

Hiya people I am newish on here after reading many articles on white springs on other carp forums as well as here I have decided to book a week at springs speci lake.
I will be there from 31st May - 7th June, oh boyos from dudley I am from Wolves so if you are there and I hear the accent I will come say elloo.
This will be my first visit there at springs and my hope is to break my PB of 26lb 8oz in 1976 sheesh long time ago.
You wont be able to miss me we will have my caravan by one of the cabins and I will be in a wheelchair with a very big smile on my face just cos I will be fishing.

hi mark , im a new starter to specie fishing but have fished the canal for many years , there are really big perch in there mate ,a bunch of lob worms fished over a bed of hemp and choped worm fished down the edge, tight as you can or up tight to one of the ilands ,be patient cos youl catch small fish at first then when it goes quiet be at the ready cos a big perch might have moved in the swim youl allso catch tench and bream with the same bait ,good luck mate ,oh and now is the right time for a big perch so get down there

the stock levels in tge speci are very good for a lake of that size, there is a very good head of thritys + in there and a tremendous amount of 12-30 fish. Your problem at the moment would be the weather, Most other lakes are simply not fished at all until the weather temp raises, white springs is the exception to the rule where big ones will still come out, ie see news and events for 31lb came out this week. however you have to realise that you need to be on top form in order to best the specimen especially in this sort of weather. good luck

Keep it simple with the rigs, have some patients as it isnt an easy lake, look at the news and events pages, (older posts link at bottom of page) for tips on swims and baits. Ask the anglers there on the day and good luck m8

Not been down for a while myself however i find pellets are working well on the match lake, 3mm from the onsite tackle shop and presoaked in bloodworm works well on the feeder for most. Halibut pellets then for hookbait. Other than that any conventional baits usually work well

there is no set bait for carp, as they will like different things every day, some will catch over 20 fish with one type of bait yet another will blank with the same bait on another day. I would read the catch reports in this site and look to see if it lists what bait they used. Apart from that read the post below that whitesprings gave for advice on generics baits.
