Guestbook

This is where you can say a simple Hello to the people at White Springs. Please note that there is no magic bait or magic swim at White Springs, sometimes one bait will catch 20 fish and the next day nothing, that is the nature of fishing. Please read the News and Events Catch reports for hints on what is popular baits to use and questions with regards to features and swims and baits are best asked in tackle shop or on the bank. Please also bear in mind that this is an unmanned site and is not maintained from the fishery itself.

Also if you have queries regarding accomadation then you will have to ring (01792) 885699 for answers, as the website and bookings are seperate and I cannot tell you if something is booked or not.

hi, i have just started fishing again in the last year for the first time in about 20 years. and how things seem to have changed. i have been to white springs about a dozen or so times. i always used to fish my ocal canals when i was younger so i have been on the canals at white springs. however i still feel i am very inexperienced and want to learn more fishing techniques but dont know where to look for help in this. are there any clubs around that offer coaching? if anyone knows of any please please let me know. many thanks

im just wonderin if zig rigs are any good now that the weather has warmed im off down saturday for 24 hours on the pit and only ever fished bottom there.
There has been some success with the zig and float at springs, however you know what it is like it will work for some and not others, best bet is to try it and if it isnt working to try something else. however a lot of sucess is found fishing the top at springs including some of the larger lumps

Check with Vince when you get there or give him a ring, but my understanding is that it is the inlet side that is deep and that would be pegs 9-12. Check with Vince though just to make sure m8 and good luck.

@Mike Not at the moment however there are some very good freezer boilys being sold that are catching well that are very similar to cell and at a much cheaper price.

@Fred Appreciate your comments, Vince does keep an eye as best as he can however he cannot be everywhere and on the main part we trust that anglers are responsible enough to be able to fish in the correct manner, we dont want to have a police state fishery like some are, however if you ever see any sort of behaviour like you have mentioned please inform us immediately so we can deal with it. thanks.
