Winter has certainly arrived at White Springs. It’s been either very cold or raining this week and the fishing has been very hard on days.
Sundays open was on the Match Lake.
1st Peg 2 Chris Hall 60lb 4oz.
2nd Peg 11 Peter Williams 56lb 6oz.
3rd Allan Godrich 33lb.
The Perch fishing has been very good this week again, mainly on the Big Pit. Steve Welch had two perch 3lb 4oz and one at 2lb. Dan Jones had a nice 3lb 3oz.
Chris Ellis landed a nice 3lb 1oz.
Paul Boyce also caught a nice 3lb 2oz.
John Evans braved the cold and fished the Pleasure Lake and caught four Carp up to 12lb and 30lb of Bream up to 4lb.
On the Specimen Lake the weekends are still very busy but the weekdays are fairly quiet.
Michael Mcnamara fished peg 8 and managed a 23lb mirror on the White Springs Banana bait.
Steven Houston was on cabin 9 and caught a stunning common weighing 34lb 11oz a fish known as Nessie. A new pb for Steve.
Steve Hughes fished the Old Cabin and caught a pristine common weighing 17lb 7oz on a White Spring’s Banana pop up.
Darren Ned Joyce was a very happy angler this week fishing peg 11a. He smashed his pb landing the awesome common known as Cheryl weighing in at a whopping 40lb 4oz caught using a CR1 barrel wafter.
Congratulations on your pb’s.
This Sunday we had fish delivered from Will Groves;
We stocked ten 30lb plus fish into the Specimen Lake which means we now have almost 50 fish over 30lb and a couple of 40lbs.
We also stocked ten fish of 20lb plus into the Big Pit lake.
Have to say a huge thanks to Will.
The fish were absolutely perfect. The pictures and video of the stocking are on our website www.whitespringsfishery.co.uk and the face book page “fish you caught at White Springs”.
Weel done to all anglers and until next time, tight lines and all.
