I moved to Swansea from Stockport in 2009 because of bad health and so I could be near my three children, I retired from the Greater Manchester Ambulance service in 2000 after 25 years service. I am a very keen fisherman, fishing since the age of 9 and I`m 67 in July 2020.
I was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in October 2018 and it is my ambition in 2020 to fish the Specimen Lake and hopefully, beat my PB Carp of 21lb, a PB which has lasted over 35 years.
I have now purchased tackle to allow me to fish the Specimen Lake here at White Springs and, I am looking forward to slightly better weather to allow me a few 48 hour sessions.
I love fishing at White Springs and consider myself very fortunate to have such a beautiful venue in my now, Home Town.
Well it's now January 2021, 'Covid-19' time. Still haven't fished the specimen lake, doubt I ever will because my breathing and my health are now giving cause for concern, to me anyway. Yes, Covid-19 is here too and South Wales, in fact all Wales is in, 'Lockdown'. So see you all during summer all being well and I'm the bloke with the trailer. Tight lines everyone 🤠
