All Rules

White Springs Fishery reserves the right to change the rules and prices without notice, this means that the website rules and prices may be subject to change so please check in shop for the current rules and prices as the website may not always reflect the correct rule or price at time of reading.

General Rules All Lakes

 

All visitors must report to site shop and payment must be made before passing gates.

Management reserve the right to refuse admission or evict any angler breaking the rules, causing a disturbance, drunkenness or damage. No refunds will be given. Bailiffs will be around daily.

Shop Opening Hours :8am to 6.30pm , Day Ticket Hours: 8am - 8pm, Summer Time / 8am to Dusk, Winter Time, 24hrs Ticket arriving after 6.30pm by prearrangement.

 

Bailiffs will be around daily and Rigs may be checked by a White Springs Bailiff for safety and upon request you are required to reel in for the check.

  • You must have a suitable unhooking mat and carp care antiseptic for treating any damage to fish (mouth, body, fins)

  • Have a landing net (Carp friendly mesh, sizee 20 inch or 500mm min). Big holed nylon and/or knotted nets are NOT allowed ie trout/salmon nets.

  • Nets must be dipped including stink bags on arrival.

  • Every fish must be returned quickly and carefully to the same lake using a landing net/sling, when on the bank the fish must be on a sutible for the lake mat or cradle for unhooking/treatment/pictures, each lake will have specific mat/cradle suitable for the lake you are on, so please check your mat/cradle with the shop upon site arrival. Do NOT hold or carry a fish above knee height as dropping a fish can kill it.

  • No full Barbed hooks, no braided mainline, no braided coated/uncoated hook lengths unless stated under specific lake rules.

  • No fixed leads, feeders, rigs, or lead core leaders. If unsure ask a bailiff or experienced angler for help/tips.

  • Rods must NOT be left unattended, even if you have a alarm receiver (you may lose your rod and we may lose a fish).

  • Fishing must only be from platforms or pegs provided.

  • Keep nets are only allowed in matches or with managements permission. (Please ask management if you want to use one) 70lb limit per keep net. 

  • No loose floating bait, only floating hook bait allowed. Branded particles or nuts only i.e no home made particles/nuts.

  • No driving of cars, anywhere between 9.30 pm and 8.00 am and no blasting music from the cars itself.

  • No Fires or Barbecues on or near cabins and decking, any fires or bbq must be off and/or above the grass or swim floor areas.

  • Do not park vehicles on grassy areas.

  • Please take your litter home with you and check you haven’t left anything behind on your peg, persistent litter bugs will be banned.

  • Headphones must be used with radios, music playing devices.

 

Specific Lake Rules

  • Match Lake

  • In addition to the general rules.

  • Allows 1 Rod.

  • No alarms allowed.

  • Max size 10 hooks, barbless only.

  • ​New Canal Lake

  • In addition to the general rules.

  • Allows 1 Rod.

  • No alarms allowed.

  • Max size 10 hooks, barbless only.

  • Pleasure Lake

  • In addition to the general rules.

  • Allows 2 Rods.

  • Alarms allowed.

  • Max size 10 hooks, barbless only.

  • Big Pit Lake

  • In addition to general rules.

  • 2 Fishing rods max.

  • Alarms allowed. (Please adjust bobbins on low volume).

  • Bait boats allowed.

  • You must have a suitable cradle or unhooking thick mat, no flat or thin mats allowed.

  • Have a landing net (Carp friendly mesh, min size 30 inch or 732mm min). Big holed nylon/knotted nets are NOT Allowed i.e. Trout/Salmon nets.

  • No Barbed/Micro-barbed hooks (max size 8).

  • No Braided mainline, coated hook lengths are allowed.

  • No keep nets allowed on this lake without management permission.

  • No loose floating bait, only floating hook bait allowed. No mixed particles/Tiger nuts/sweetcorn. Pellet and bollies only.

  • Do NOT deliberately pull for a break (you will be banned), boats are around the lake for retrieving snagged fish or rigs.

  • No driving of cars between 9.30pm and 8am.

  • Specimen Lake

  • In addition to general rules.

  • 3 Fishing Rods Max.

  • Alarms allowed. (Please adjust bobbins on low volume).

  • Bait boats allowed.

  • No keep nets allowed on this lake without management permission.

  • You must have an adequate cradle/walled mat. (no flat/beanie mats), preferably one that will contain water to further aid the safety of the fish.

  • You must have a min 42 inch min net or 1000 mm.

  • Carp care antiseptic for treating any damage to the fish (mouths, body, fins).

  • No sacking of fish. Only floating retainers, fish must not be kept more than 20 min in any retaining sling.

  • Lead core leaders max 1 metre in length.

  • No Braided mainline. Coated hook links allowed.

  • No mixed particles/Tiger nuts/sweetcorn. Pellet and bollies only. 

  • Bait boats are allowed.

  • Micro-barbed hooks only. Max size 2.

  • Do NOT deliberately pull for a break (you will be banned), boats are around the lake for retrieving snagged fish or rigs.

  • Cabin swims (you must rent the cabin) double swims must have 2 fishermen. Some exceptions are made i.e. quiet times/on the day of booking.

  • If you catch a 40+ fish, ring Jarrod 07799530367 (anytime).​​​

Gates open 8am to 8pm (summer time) 8am to dusk (winter time).

Any variations to these rules are at the owners discretion.

 Rules on the website are only valid at time of printing so please ask if there are any updates to the website rules when you attend White Springs.
